History:
My client explained he had intense pain in the arch to heel of his right foot that had not gone away with new shoes or stretching. The bottom of his foot was so tight his toes curled under. I had tried deep tissue and active release therapy, but he had not received any long-term effects from that.
Melissa's Technique:
Sometimes the body doesn't need to be pushed down, it needs to be pulled up. That was what we were dealing with here. By doing the aponeurosis (the thick band of collagen and elastic fibers that run from the heel to toe) sucker we were able to separate the adhered bands and fibers.
Education:
Since, cupping is something anyone can buy, I showed him just how he could continue to treat his foot.
The Result:
It took 2 sessions, a month apart, and he said he felt back to normal.
Invitation:
If you are having issues with your foot and would like to experience the aponeurosis sucker, make an online appointment for an in-home massage today.
Disclaimer:
What works for one person is not guaranteed to work for everyone.
That is why Melissa's Mobile Massage customizes her client's sessions. The name of the massage technique above is typically not a proper term for a technique, therefore other massage therapists would not know what an aponeurosis sucker is.
