Knot That Won't Go Away: The Massage Technique That Helped A Carpenter's Knot Between The Shoulder Blade Go Almost Completely Away.

History:

This guy had thick muscles. His whole body typically hurt, but he always had this huge knot between his spine and left shoulder blade that was extremely painful.

Melissa's Technique:

I used my elbow, giving as much pressure as I could. He loved deep tissue, and he would feel better after the massage. I could not get that knot by the left shoulder blade to go away, until I put pressure on the middle trapezius muscle's trigger point #5 while he was face up, not face down. This technique I call the Jeffery technique.

Education:

A lacrosse ball and his five-year-old son sitting nicely on his chest is what I suggested. His son loved to help his dad feel better.

The Results:

This technique got the knot about 90% better. I think there might have been a chiropractic issue that would have helped it completely go away, so I suggested chiropractic care too.

Invitation:

Disclaimer:

What works for one person is not guaranteed to work for everyone.

This is why Melissa's Mobile Massage customizes her client's sessions. The name of the massage techniques above is typically not a proper term for a technique, therefore other massage therapists would not know what a Jeffery technique is.
