The first Massage Therapy job I got after graduating from Sioux Falls Massage and Education Center was at a Chiropractic Center in Mitchell, South Dakota. I was about 26 years old and probably weighed around 100 lbs.

One day a professional wrestler came into the clinic and asked about getting a deep tissue massage, I just so happened to be coming into the reception area when he was asking and our receptionist said "Oh, here she is now." He took one look at me and said, "She is so tiny there is no way she can give me the pressure I need." The receptionist started to laugh and told him, "She may be small, but she is mighty." He wasn't buying it. She offered for him to give it a try for 10 minutes. "If you don't think she is the deepest massage therapist you have ever met, then you can ask her to stop and you don't have to pay for the 10 minutes." Of course he agreed, and an hour later he came back to the receptionist and conceded she was right.

From that point on my co-workers and clients started calling me the 'small but mighty' massage therapist.
